Partner Sales Manager – DACH

Thingstream, is a fast growth, IoT Connectivity and Integration platform provider
which markets a unique SaaS proposition to original devices manufacturers and
enterprises involved in deploying connected solutions in a wide range of global
vertical markets.

Thingstream does not yet have an office in Germany therefore the candidate will be
expected to work from home however the nature of the role will require frequent
travel around the region; leveraging the Zurich based office to suit client meetings if
needed.

The company is building an indirect sales channel via systems integrators,
consultancies and resellers who specialize in IoT deployments. With the majority of
the commercial team based in the UK, Thingstream are now looking for a mainland
European based team member who has current experience of the IoT market and
who can predominantly focus on the DACH region.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be self-motivated with high energy and a passion for selling IoT related solutions.
  • Detailed understanding of the IoT connectivity technology and supplied landscape.
  • Have an existing knowledge of the regional DACH ecosystem.
  • Have experience in securing signed agreements with partners and secure ongoing commitment from them to promote Thingstream.

The role will include:

  • Identifying, recruiting and developing new strategic solution partner relationships
  • Achieving sales quota through reseller and system integrator sales activity
  • Achieving sales quota through reseller and system integrator sales activity

The successful candidate will report to the European Partner Development Director.

Required Experience:

  • German as a first language, fluent English (additional languages useful)
  • Proven, recent history of success in the field of IoT/B2B technology sales/channel management
  • Have a solid understanding of the concepts involved with IoT technology including device manufacturing, cloud technologies and different wireless network connectivity types.
  • Ability to discuss technical IoT concepts, solutions and demonstrate technology to a reasonable degree.
  • Strong record of exceeding sales quota
